Ostara Erwacht - Götterfest Ostara - Asatru Ring Frankfurt

Every Year at the Gods' feast ostara we recite this poem, when we come together with the gods in the circle and celebrate.

Ostara Awakes
© Michael Schütz - Asatru Ring Frankfurt & Midgard

Thor strides with big steps through the land,
The snow withers away and the cold wanes.
Ostara slumbers, even as her blanket melts.
Ostara awake, Ostara awake, Ostara awake from your sleep.

Thor brandishes his hammer, the frost giants take flight.
Thorshammer strikes and the ice shatters.
Ostara stretches herself, the first green appears.
Ostara awake, Ostara awake, Ostara awake from your sleep.

Frey and Freya run over fields and meadows,
The seed springs, the rabbits kindles .
Ostara puts on her floral wreath.
Ostara awake, Ostara awake, Ostara awake from your sleep.

The Gods invite us to a new awakening.
We walk out and begin anew.
Ostara raises and makes her first step.
Ostara awake, Ostara awake, Ostara awake from your sleep.

We donate eggs for the new begining.
We invite to the Awakening into Life.
Ostara dressed in flowers leads the round dance.
Ostara wakes, Ostara wakes, Ostara wakes from her sleep
