Frigga - Goddess ina matchbox - Portable Asatru shrine
Frigga´s warming hearth fire let us come to rest and regain our strength. She emanates placidity and peace comes in the house. She brings order in our private and our professional life. This is her shrine.
It was a week before Yule and I did not have a present for the group as it is our tradition but with a little inspiration of Odin and a matchbox I played with the smallest portable Asatru shrine came into existence. I like to share these here with you.
When we meet the Gods in a God feast (Blot) then we want to take this moment home with us into our daily life. The Gods ina matchbox serves these purpose but even more they can reignite the fire of the Gods in us every day.
One can use it as a matchbox to light candle for the Gods as we do with the Yule candle but one can store small things we associate with the gods in it.
It has a perfect size as these shrines fit into the smallest home. You can keep it in your desk drawer at work; put it in a place in the kitchen or in your small apartment.
