Ostara, Godess, Gods' Feast and Time of the New Beginning

Ostara awakes with the stroke of Thor’s Hammer, it is the time of the new Beginning. With the Gods we have a chance for a fresh start in life. A new stage of life, new relationships, the birth of a child, a new career, a house moving, new projects, all these are new starts in life.
For these new seed we cut a furrow and overcome the obstacles. All our new activities and plans we seed. We water the seeds with Ostara’s water. The sprout breaks through the earth and the bud opens. With the strength of Thor, the fertility of Freya and Frey, with the wisdom of Odin and the foresight of Frigga we set out. We come to full bloom with the support of the Gods.
The symbols of Ostara are rabbit and egg. The rabbit stands for the fertility and the new start. It is the Rabbit who hands out the eggs. The egg holds the seed of life, the possibilities for new endeavours. We dye the eggs with the color of the Gods, a strong red for Thor, a night blue for Odin, a light red for Freya, a potent green for Frey, a light green for Freya. The symbols of the Gods’ we use to decorate the eggs, the hammer of Thor, the heart for Freya, the key for Frigga.
We break open the egg to let the seed unfold and we can grow.
Frigga’s spring cleaning helps us to make room, so we can bloom und revitalize. The windows we open to wide to let in the new.
